Ukraine: Back to work project - Life changing livelihoods support in Kharkiv

  • Status

    Ongoing

  • Location Kharkiv, Poltava & Sumy Oblasts

Russia's invasion has severely impacted the Ukrainian economy: GDP has fallen by approximately 30% & unemployment has risen to 20%, along with poverty, health issues, stress, violence, etc. Internally Displaced Women (IDW) are particularly vulnerable (only 43% employed).

The project aims to empower them with employment assistance & general support to survive the trauma:

1/ Core employment intervention (Job-readiness curriculum, incl. goal setting, re-framing negative beliefs & group support) & appropriate trainings (Computer literacy, planning, understanding the job market, interview techniques & CV writing)

2/ Self-employment & entrepreneurial support (Business planning, tax, online marketing, communication, etc). Possibility to apply for a micro-grant

3/ Psychological support

4/ Financial assistance for basic needs (Rent, transport).
