This is a follow-up initiative of a project that the Alstom Foundation supported in 2016 and 2017 to set up an office in Liverpool to achieve social mobility for bright students from poor backgrounds, through internships and mentoring and skills development to gain access to “red-brick” Universities.

The plan was for the funding to enable the Liverpool office to continue the delivery of the Aspiring Professionals Programme and to support a residential program for 10 Liverpool students at the undergraduate stage of the Programme.
