The number of young women seeking asylum has increased dramatically due to the crisis in Ukraine & global displacement. The project aims to create a more inclusive labour market and address specific issues faced by young women (<25y) coming to Sweden, through a methodology developed to access wellbeing in youth from refugee communities. It rests on 4 pillars:
1/ Mentorship program
2/ Employment support & job match
3/ Collaboration with private sector
4/ Life skills.
This methodology connects civil society, private sector & NGOs to create an inclusive employment market. Specific youth psychosocial needs are addressed to create safe environments for personal growth through peer-to-peer trainings. Mentors are trained by the NGO, and 5 to 7 evening group events for young women prior to mentorship meetings.
