In Spain, people with disabilities face many challenges such as discrimination, a high unemployment and a lack of information. This project offers a specific training for people with intellectual disabilities and mental diseases to work as stewards in trains. The project involves:
1/ Planning & course design, coordinated by professionals (teachers, trainers, etc.), enrollment & selection of participants
2/ Training deployment with delivery of theoretical & practical contents (exercises, outings, pedagogical visits, etc) through 6 modules:
a) Structure & organisation of a station (40 hours)
b) Assistance to dependent persons (72 hours)
c) Passenger assistance (124 hours)
d) Onboard services (132 hours) such as cafeteria & mobile bar
e) Prevention & emergency assistance (64 hours)
f) Passenger service in English (128 hours).
