  • Status

    Ongoing

  • Location Quezon City

This partnered NGO works in slums & streets, providing vital support to children who have lost contact with their families, suffer from malnutrition and are often victims of violence & drugs, surviving by begging, stealing or prostitution. The NGO cares for them and promotes social rehabilitation through homes. 220 Filipino employees work as educators, teachers, psychologists, or house parents, all looking after 430 street children & 1,500 beneficiaries in the slums.

The project aims to support the costs of 2 homes for 1 year (food, medical care, transport, salaries, etc) and help 35 boys, former street children, have a secure shelter, an education (public school) & various activities (basket, music, etc). They are supported in their human & professional development until they become independent (College student, job training, etc). When possible, children & families are reconciliated. Psychological & legal help is also offered according to Child Prevention & Protection Chart.
