In Sept. 2023, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake caused 2,946 deaths and 6,125 injuries on top of the 60,000 homes damaged, leaving over 400,000 people in need of humanitarian assistance. In this province, people still rely on agriculture & livestock for subsistence, largely impacted by climate change (6th consecutive year of drought). This project aims to restore access to water through safe & clean electricity in 6 villages impacted by the earthquake.

The goal of the project is to:

1/ Provide solar-powered pump equipment (4kW multi-function solar inverter equipped with 13 solar panels of 580W each)

2/ Establish a committee in each village and train them on equipment maintenance & water management (Hygiene, water purity, distribution, saving, productivity & efficiency).
