Status
Ongoing
- Location Mexico
The project targets 120 girls and boys working alone or alongside their family members in the streets of the historic center of Guadalajara. It aims to restitute their basic rights and raise awareness in a context of poverty, lack of safe spaces and the Covid-19 pandemic. As these children and adolescents do not attend school and do not know how to read or write, the goal is to teach them how to develop socio-emotional skills.
Those enrolled in the educational system will be reinforced academically, those not enrolled in any institution will receive literacy and numeracy training to improve their chances of being enrolled later in a public school or in MAMA's School.
