This partnered NGO runs Tara Outreach Centres (TOCs) providing residential care to children in need of care, protection, education and family ties. Beneficiaries are extremely disadvantaged children, falling under the categories of street children (as defined by UNICEF).

The project aims to:

1/ Develop existing TOC activities in Saidulajab (South Delhi)

2/ Extend interventions in a new TOC specialised in family-based care, to propose an alternative to the institutionalisation of orphans and maintain the children with their parents/families while providing a safe place. TOC interventions include an academic support (Math, Hindi & English classes), facilitate school admissions, help families obtain legal documents and provide health-based assistance (food, welfare monitoring, rights awareness). R&D is also planned on interventions to strengthen families while safeguarding children's rights, in line with governmental directives.
