The Montreal region has a huge cultural diversity & economic disparities (more than 80 ethno-cultural communities, speaking more than 121 languages/dialects, and 75% of Montreal schools officially recognised as disadvantaged). This programme aims to foster students’ digital literacy & cover topics such as maths, story structure, writing through:

1/ French classes for students from different countries, using programming based on ILSS (Linguistic, academic & social integration)

2/ Personalised programming workshops:

a) Bluebot (small robot) for kindergarten classes to develop ability to programme

b) ScratchJr, a graphical language teaching programming for 5-7 year-old children on tablets

c) Scratch, for 8-16 year-old children

d) Minecraft Education's Code Builder, for 5th & 6th grade-students to explore, create & play while learning computer programming in a 3D mobile environment

e) SPIKE Prime, to help think critically & solve complex problems

f) Autodesk's Tinkercad software, for 10-12 year-old students to discover 3D modelling & printing.
